Sculpted by Hand. Powered by the Coast.

After living landlocked in Utah my entire life, my family and I realized we wanted to wake up by the beach. We were exhausted by a loud and constantly polarized environment and wanted a culture that prioritizes sanity, community, and a true connection to nature. We packed up our lives and relocated across the globe to Pāpāmoa Beach in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.

That massive life shift became the foundation for Taylormade Games Limited. After spending over 25 years as an art director pushing digital pixels in the commercial graphics industry, I needed a creative hard reset. I wanted to build worlds you could actually touch. The clay-style aerial view of Mount Maunganui pictured above captures the exact vibe of my studio and represents my ultimate goal to blend digital tools with a beautifully tactile aesthetic.

Raining Monsters: Tess's Tale is a rebellion against generic mobile games. Instead of purely digital assets, my game is built from the desk up. Every character and monster is physically sculpted from clay, rigged on wire armatures, and brought to life through meticulous stop-motion photography before being wired together with GameMaker logic.

Today, I operate as a solo indie developer out of my New Zealand home studio. I am building a game with humor, heart, and literal fingerprints on every frame. I get to do all of this while enjoying the freedom to walk barefoot to the store. Sometimes you just have to move to the other side of the planet to build the perfect sandbox.
